Our Philosophy
To serve quality foods and drinks, using quality local ingredients where possible, in relaxed surroundings with excellent customer service. We place quality of product over cost of inferior alternatives that are commonly used elsewhere, as we believe in delivering quality to a loyal customer base on a regular basis.
We started out as bar chocolat in Clifton Village when we purchased the café from James Chocolates (who still supplies our chocolates). Then in 2008 we opened the new café | bar in Portishead Marina and re-branded ourselves as MeMe chocolat. We still use the same recipes and ingredients for our chocolate drinks and cakes from when we were bar chocolat but we now carry a wider menu range including healthy options, savoury foods and alcoholic drinks.
